For you
Individual therapy in Gijón
A space to understand what's happening to you and learn how to handle it, in person or by video call, with a registered psychologist.

What it's for
Know yourself better, decide better
Therapy helps you look calmly at how you behave, how you communicate, what you think and how you relate to others. It's also a way of getting clear on what matters to you and where you want to go.
Sessions are a safe place to let go of stress and work on what has been left unresolved, free of judgement and at your own pace. The work adapts to you, your moment and what you need, not the other way round.
Reasons to come

These are examples, not a closed list. If what you're going through isn't here, tell me anyway.
Anxiety and stress
When your mind won't stop, your body tenses and everyday life feels uphill.
Grief
Losing someone or something important, and the time it takes to find a place for it.
Family conflict
Arguments that repeat, distance, or hard decisions within the family.
Work problems
Pressure, burnout, conflict at work or doubts about your professional path.
Habits and lifestyle
Procrastination, inactivity, addictions and other routines you want to change.
Raising children
Doubts about how to support them, and the conflicts that come with adolescence.
Knowing yourself better
Not everything is a problem: you can also come to get clear on your values and direction.
How I work
With a method, but no fixed script
I mainly draw on cognitive behavioural therapy and adapt each process to the person in front of me.

Questions
What people ask most
How many sessions will I need?
That depends on you and what you want to work on. I'd rather not give you a fixed number: we review it together, and you decide at every stage whether to carry on.
How often are sessions?
We agree that according to what you need. Many people come twice a month, and more frequent sessions can make sense at the start.
Do I need a diagnosis or a referral?
No. You can book directly.
What language are sessions held in?
English or Spanish, whichever you prefer.
Can I do therapy online?
Yes. If you can come to Gijón I recommend meeting in person, but I also work by video call.
